Burgården Educational Centre, the school where I do my practicum

The school is located in the central of Gothenburg.
It is a large school with about 1500 students .
Inside Burgårdens doors fit lots of different programs.
You can find both the national secondary vocational programs and theoretical academic program, but also several specially designed programs of various kinds.
For example the Hairdressing program

  2. What a wonderful school and I had the pleasure of visiting it when I was in Gothenburg. It is very large when compared to Australian hairdressing schools. The moment you walk in the door you get the feeling that the school is very professional and I am sure this carries over to your students. Do you think they are influenced by the excellent facilities and equipment?

  3. Unfortunately enough, most of the students are blind to the school's benefits and take it for granted after a while, and might not see it as you experience when you arrive as a guest, but I perceive school as multicultural and exciting.

  4. This is the classical school in Göteborg for hairdresser education.
Now many small scholls have started in teh field.
How does the school feel and react to that.
Consequenses? do they get fewer students?

  5. Like all well-established schools must also Burgården be active and do their education as attractive as possible, one way is to distinguish itself as a school that focuses on those who wish to develop their competitive sides. They educate about 60 students every year and when I left out of barber school 25 years ago educated annually about fifty, so I dont think it is fewer students but the market is starting to become over-established.
