Here the student makes more volume with the help of a classic round brush and a hairdryer.
Its also very important to work right in the ergonomic way.

  1. Yes i agree about working ergonomically. We spend a lot of time in Australia teaching our stduents about Occupational Health and Safety?
How do you teach your students about this?

  2. i like that you spend so much time on that. I think that it is so important, if you're suppose to work for a couple of years.
We are telling the students the whole time about the ergonomically situation, and how important it is for you. We can show them pictures on hairdressers neck and things like that. And tells them what kind of problems they can have if they don't think about this.

  4. Yes Gina, there is a lot of injuries in our job. It can be the shoulders, the neck, but even some allergies from all the chemicals.

  5. Yes the allergies from chemicals is a big problem here too. The students learn about the chemicals in their theory and this is very complicated and takes a long time. In the salons they learn about how to use latex gloves and how to mix the chemcials safely. One of my friends has a very bad reaction to the chemicals and had to get medical treatment. She now has special gloves to protect her hands.

  6. It is also very important with the floor and right shoes.
Myself like to sit on a cutting chair a lot when I'm working. we are trying to tell the students to do that sometimes. i think its good to have some variation in this kind of work.
