Textil and handicraft


Here is the Handicraft Educational Centre for the Textil and Design program. Almåsskolan, the school where I did my practicum in the centre of Borås. There are different programs in upper secondary education and also some courses in adult education.

  1. Gina this looks like an impressive building.It is interesting that you have some classes in upper secondary and adult education. In Australia these two groups are very much spearated.
    How do these tow groups of students get on with one another?

    1. Yes, the building in an old factory named Algots but become a school around 1990.

      The students at the adult education they read almost the same subjects as they do in upper secondary education , but they goes only for one year and upper secondary education are three years.

  2. Yes, it can be said Ewa there is a greater pulse in the inner city where we have the Textile Institute and Textile museum . Many more students in the streets and Borås is a popular textile town.
