The Winner comes from Burgården !!!!!

Those who came first, second and third in school championship this year were all from Burgården!

The School showed that all the effort and dedication paid off when they took home a grand slam among students in their final year, it was the same girls who came top three in the regional finals three weeks earlier, so practice makes perfect!.

Congratulations Matilda, Anela and Pernilla!!!!

You can read more about the competitions on this website: http://sflf.se/

(the girls are over 18 and I'm aloud to show their faces)

To document the work.

For the student to remember and to perform the same moment with presition, all stages documents of the competition hairdo in a student folder, where the student goes back for help and useful informationThis is a part of the learning process. This is also in the teacher's assessment of the work.

(This student is over eighteen years old and have given her permission for me to show her face.)

Dollheads

Students use  dollheads, both when they're working toward and at the competitions. And since it takes a lot of hours to refine the shape and color, it is probably lucky that.On the men doll shall both the cutting and styling be made with a masculine and modern result. It requires many training hours to get an even finish.

Burgårdens students compete successfully.

The teachers are very involved in competitive activities at school
and this is reflected in both the preparation and student achievement.
Here we see a teacher work with the final preparations for the Swedish championship this year.
The competition was held on school premises.

This is the entrance to the barber school.

The school accepts paying customers to make students ready for work,
and its daily life.
Students begin to accept clients in year two.
After school the student needs 2500 hours of training in a hairdressing salon

before he/she can do the trade certificate test.
All in all, it is approximately 300 students in Burgårdens Barber School.

I found this on Burgårdens homepage and thought it was very inspiring.
It is a trailer to make young people interested in the school.
What do you think?

Is it successfully done?

The school is located in the central of Gothenburg.
It is a large school with about 1500 students .
Inside Burgårdens doors fit lots of different programs.
You can find both the national secondary vocational programs and theoretical academic program, but also several specially designed programs of various kinds.
For example the Hairdressing program
